| Rotterdam, Netherlands (Sports Network) - Seattle Mariners outfielder Greg Halman was stabbed to death on Monday in Rotterdam. He was 24 years old. According to the Dutch news agency, ANP, Halman's brother was arrested as a suspect in connection with the early Monday morning incident. Halman, who was born in the Netherlands, had appeared in 44 games over the past two seasons with the Mariners. |

An 18th-round selection in the 2009 draft, Vasquez made his major league debut this past season for Seattle, making seven starts with a 1-6 record and an 8.90 earned run average.
