first time since 1998.
Fisher, who played for Golden State two straight years before coming to Utah
this season, scored 11 of his 20 points in the final quarter, as the Jazz
scored the game's final 12 points and beat the Warriors, 100-87, in Game 5 of
their Western Conference semifinal set.
Andrei Kirilenko had 21 points and 15 rebounds, and Carlos Boozer added 21
points and 14 boards for the Jazz, who won the series, 4-1, and will face
either San Antonio or Phoenix in the next round. The Spurs and Suns are tied
going into Game 5 Wednesday night.
Mehmet Okur tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz, who are into the
conference finals for the first time since Michael Jordan led the Bulls over
Utah to win the NBA title.
Utah held a decisive 59-35 advantage on the glass and it only frustrated the
Warriors, a team that upset the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first
round before bowing out.
Baron Davis had 21 points, but was just 5-of-16 from the field for Golden
State, which shot 36.4 percent.
The Warriors had 16 steals and forced 25 turnovers, but were their own worst
enemy with 31 personal fouls.
