Eagles sign newly-acquired Tapp to three-year deal

end Darryl Tapp to a three-year contract on Thursday.
Philly acquired Tapp from the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the week in exchange
for defensive end Chris Clemons and a 2010 fourth-round draft pick.
Last season with the Seahawks, Tapp played in all 16 games and recorded 49
tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and three passes defensed. In his four-year career, all
with Seattle, he has 186 tackles, eight forced fumbles and 11 passes defensed
in 64 games.

Reportedly, he is in great shape and well ahead of schedule to return to form. Also, he could have some added motivation to put up big numbers this season with the Eagles using their first pick in the draft on McNabb’s future successor Kevin Kolb.
