08/25/2006 - ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -Oakland Athletics shortstop Bobby Crosby was put on the disabled list Friday after playing just four games since returning from the same lower back strain. The move was retroactive to Tuesday, a day after Crosby left in the eighth inning of a game at Toronto with back problems. Crosby was also on the DL because of the lower back strain from July 31 through Aug. 17. He then went 3-for-13 (.231) in four starts before leaving Monday's game. Infielder D'Angelo Jimenez was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento to take Crosby's roster spot. Manager Ken Macha said Crosby will undergo further tests when the A's returns home Monday. Crosby remained with the team for the weekend series in Texas. ``They're going to do a different kind of test,'' Macha said. ``Right now it's a two-week period and after that it's up in the air. We'll know more after the test. We went from getting him two days off to giving him a shot to giving him 15 days off. Now we're back to square one. But we're going to figure it out.'' Macha was unsure when or if Crosby would be back this season. Crosby had the second-lowest batting average (.229) and on-base percentage (.298) for regular American League players, and the lowest slugging percentage (.338) before going on the DL for the second time.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. Since coming over from the 76ers, Webber has averaged 13.1 PPG and 7.3 RPG and the Pistons are 11-4. Even though the defending champion Heat are currently on the playoff making cusp, they are the Eastern Conference team that is getting the most action to win it all (9-1). The fact that Shaquille O’Neal is back in the starting lineup after missing 39 games probably has something to do with this. No doubt, Shaq makes a difference when in the lineup as their winning six out of their last seven would indicate.
